Founded by designer and creative director Maya Amoah, BATIK BOUTIK began in 2017 from a desire to bridge contemporary fashion with the textiles and craftsmanship of her Ghanaian heritage. Inspired by time spent at her grandmother’s home in the Aburi mountains and the extraordinary culture of making found throughout Ghana, the brand brings hand-dyed textiles into a distinctly modern, expressive wardrobe.

Today, BATIK BOUTIK creates thoughtful, versatile clothing handcrafted in Ghana in close collaboration with local artisans. Traditional textile practices meet contemporary silhouettes designed for movement, comfort and individuality—pieces made to be lived in, worn across seasons and kept beyond them.

More than clothing, BATIK BOUTIK is an evolving exploration of fashion as art, craft, culture and storytelling. Through design, photography, film and conversations with creatives and makers, we document the people, places and processes that inspire our world. At its heart is a belief in independent expression, meaningful craftsmanship, and having the courage to be yourself.
